The Tennessee Board of Regents community colleges, the state’s public institutions and the University of Tennessee have joined together to develop a common core of courses for prospective secondary education mathematics school teachers consisting of an introduction to teaching course and standards-based mathematics and science courses. 教学科学副学士（A.S.T.）学位的共同核心允许未来的教师从佩利西比州立大学转学到任何州立大学，而不会损失学分。 除了下面列出的课程要求外，学生必须达到累计平均绩点2.75，成功完成Praxis Core考试或达到ACT总分21或更高，并达到令人满意的性格评估评级。 For the disposition evaluation ratings, students must have three positive dispositions completed by the following: 1) one’s EDU 2010 instructor, 2) an Instructor or Professor of one of the required AST courses, and 3) an Instructor or Professor of any other college-level course. 对于那些在高中，在另一所大学或通过认可的考试没有完成单一现代语言两个单元的学生，必须在学生转学到大学之前消除缺陷。
