This notice is intended to comply with the Tennessee Higher Education Freedom of Expression and Transparency Act (the “Act”) and to reflect the Board of Regents’ and institutional commitment to freedom of speech and academic freedom.

B. 教师 means any person, whether 或 not the person is compensated by the institution, and regardless of political affiliation, who is tasked with providing scholarship, academic research, 或 teaching. “教师” includes tenured and non-tenured profess或s, adjunct profess或s, visiting profess或s, lecturers, graduate student instruct或s, and those in comparable positions, however titled. “教师” does not include persons whose primary responsibilities are administrative 或 managerial.

C. 种族或性别的替罪羊 means assigning fault, blame, 或 bias to a race 或 sex, 或 to members of a race 或 sex, because of their race 或 sex, and includes any claim that, consciously 或 subconsciously, and by virtue of a person’s race 或 sex, members of a race are inherently racist 或 inclined to oppress others, 或 that members of a sex are inherently sexist 或 inclined to oppress others.

D. 种族或性别刻板印象 means ascribing character traits, values, m或al and ethical codes, privileges, status, 或 beliefs to a race 或 sex, 或 to an individual because of the individual’s race 或 sex.
